International

This blog was from a teacher who was teaching in New Zealand, her blog was greatly organized she had areas for the other teachers to review as well as a special blog set up for her students to add their information regarding their learning experiences.

I like how she had a blog set up with advice as how to balance teaching and family life in New Zealand. The only thing I would have like to seen more pictures. This teacher is using technology to allow her students to post on her blog where others may enjoy their writings and stories that they have written.

This next blog I discovered was from a teacher in Australia, in his blog he offered a wide variety of information to teachers, informing many teachers on the nature of copyright laws, and how he begins to teach this to his students at a very young age.

His blog had many facts, and was directed strictly to the teaching environment. This blog provided the teacher with a lot of questions you could ask yourself, whether you are teaching your students appropriately.

k12

I located a blog from a teacher in Wisconsin; her blog is designated towards her fourth grade classroom. On her blog she shows the calendar, homework assignments, upcoming assignments, upcoming club meetings, activities. On her blog she offers a virtual tour of the Capitol of Wisconsin, she allows information to be easily accessible to the children. She provides information on her blog that are current discussions in the classroom.

There is a detailed newsletter for the parents to review, as well as the students. On her blog she offers different learning websites to allow the students to enhance their study skills. There are many pictures on the blog showing the classroom, and activities that take place in the classroom. My favorite though was many postings by her students summarizing different people in history and their input on these individuals. It is neat to see the simplicity through the eyes of a child.
4K Class Blog

The other blog I found was from a teacher Mrs. C in Montana. Her blog is designed for her 5th grade class. This blog is very organized it provides students and parents with what is going on in the classroom. She offers educational games for the students to play. On this blog she offers many blogs from her student’s by doing this, I believe this allows the students to feel some sense of ownership in their classroom and their education.

ACCESS

ACCESS Program

In my classroom environment I could offer the ACCESS program to my students to broaden course offerings. They could login to ACCESS to take advantage of courses not offered at their school but are offered on-line through ACCESS. I could offer my students an opportunity to take additional courses that they may have a special interest in such as a foreign language.

In my teachings, I could use ACCESS on different lessons I may be teaching. ACCESS offers virtual field trips; I could share this learning experience with my students at no cost. The ACCESS website may be offered as a resource website. My students could benefit from the ACCESS program because it would allow them to work at their own pace.

ALEX

The ALEX website is helpful in a variety of ways. There are many icons where you may choose in detail what you are teaching or planning to teach. ALEX offers many hands on lesson plans, which when I am teaching early elementary education will be very important to hold the students attention.

ALEX allows you to view other lesson plans teachers have used and have been successful in their teaching experiences. This would be a great resource to have to give me some insight on what works best with some students. ALEX is also a great place where you can store and organize your lesson plans. ALEX is a great resource where teachers may come together for the good of our education system and our student's future.
